On December 15 in Kyiv, interna! tional public organization Internews-Ukraine presented the results of Media Freedom Index for the six Eastern Partnership countries in the second half of 2014. The research was conducted as a part of EU-funded project Media Freedom Watch in the Eastern Partnership countries. According to Index findings, Georgia and Moldova traditionally ranked first and second places respectively. Ukraine claimed third position, again ahead of Armenia. Azerbaijan and Belarus came in fifth and sixth places respectively.

The European Union and Ukraine held today the first meeting of the Association Council under the new Association Agreement. The EU and Ukraine reconfirmed the common objective to build a democratic, stable and prosperous country. The EU and the Government of Ukraine agreed to continue to work together towards Ukraine's political association and economic integration with the EU.
