EU Delegation opens a call for applications for the 8th EU Study Days’ session

The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, in cooperation with the Centre for Ukrainian Reform Education, announces a call for applications for the 8th session of the EU Study Days project.

The eighth session will be conducted from 28 May to 1 June in Kharkiv, and will target students and graduates from Ukraine’s Eastern regions. The EU Study Days will create an opportunity for Ukrainian university students and graduates to:


  • get more information about the European Union and EU-Ukraine relations from key experts in the field;
  • comprehensively study major issues in EU-Ukraine relations in all key fields(politics, security, economy, energy, law, values, visa issues, Association Agreement);
  • gain the opportunity to get in touch with representatives from the EU institutions, key experts and researchers; 
  • develop a network of young people in Ukraine, which will be able to exchange their experience and implement joint initiatives in the future.


Who is eligible to apply?


The project is open to Ukrainian university students in their last years or recent graduates(who graduated max. three years ago) from Kharkiv city, as well as from Chernihivska, Sumska, Poltavska, Kharkivska, Luhanska, Donetska and Dnipropetrovska oblasts (target regions of the 8th session).


Priority will be given to students and graduates who obtained (or are obtaining) education in the following fields: international relations, European studies, law, political science, economy, finance, business, sociology, journalism, history, cultural studies, philosophy, philology.

Applications can be submitted online through a special questionnaire available here.


Deadline for applications: May 14th, 23.00.


40 persons from the target regions will be selected to participate in the session. The selection will be made on the basis of the submitted application upon the following criteria: a) competence of the applicant; b) coverage of the biggest possible number of regions; c) applicant’s proficiency in English (knowledge of English is required to participate in the project).


About the project


The EU Study Days is an education project initiated by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. It provides the opportunity for Ukrainian university students and graduates to gain deeper and wider knowledge about the European Union and EU-Ukraine relations from key experts in the field and from different viewpoints. The project also facilitates the establishment of a network of young Ukrainians who will be able t! o share their experiences and implement joint initiatives in the future.


Participation is free of charge. The project covers travel, accommodation and meals of participants from other cities.


Ukrainian and English are the two official languages of the EU Study Days series.


Four sessions of the EU Study Days took place in Kyiv in 2013: in MarchAprilMay та June2013. The following sessions of the EU Study Days were held in October in Dnipropetrovsk in November in Lviv and in April in Odesa.
