EU-Ukraine: Delegation invites citizens to uniting Ukraine

The EU Delegation to Ukraine is launching a new initiative, “EURObus: uniting Ukraine”, with a series of interactive street entertainment activities dedicated to issues of European integration, which will be kick off in two Ukrainian towns – Kirovgrad on 12 June at 12.00, and Kryvyi Rig on 13 June at 12.00.

Anyone who is interested is invited to come along for an opportunity to:
            • take part in “EURObus” opening, communicate with EU diplomats;
• get to know more “About Europe”: open air debate club with coffee and croissants;
• win prizes during a quiz on knowledge of facts about the EU;
• join street photo exhibition “Euro Sooshka”, leave their own photos made in Europe and take photographs of other participants as a token;
• participate in workshop on knitting “Uniting Ukraine and EU” and together with artists create knitted flags of Ukraine and symbolically decorate trees with them;
• get involved in popular European initiative “bookcrossing”: bring old books in different languages and take any other book of your liking;
• together with artists decorate art-objects in blue and yellow ornament with EU stars;
• read press and literature in foreign languages, EU information materials;
• join puzzle-zone where children will be able to amuse themselves and get souvenirs.
Among the participants will be the following guests:
- Zoltan Szalai, Head of Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Ukraine;
- Victoria Davydova, Press and Information Officer of the EU Delegation to Ukraine;
- Experts of Ukrainian non-governmental organizations;
- Coordinators and activists of local euroclubs;
- Craftsmen on street knitting, volunteers of “EURObus: uniting Ukraine” initiative.
The initiative “EURObus: uniting Ukraine” will also visit Poltava and Cherkasy on 17 and 18 June respectively.
The “EURObus: uniting Ukraine” initiative is organized within the “Building Europe in Ukraine” information campaign implemented by the EU Delegation to Ukraine across the country. The campaign includes a number of information events, which over the course of one year aim to explain the importance of the signature of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and to raise peoples’ awareness of EU-Ukraine relations.
